2. Deployment view

 

2.1 Primary presentation of the view

In this section we will explain the terminology used in this view. It can be used as a legend to this view and it explains what each component means. The view is represented using a UML 2.0 deployment diagram.

 

The view shows how the system is distributed on two physical nodes: an application server and database server. The application server contains all the layers of the SNA system (as can be seen in the logical & implementation view) and includes a web server (API) where clients connect to.

 

The application server connects to the database server for storage and retrieval of intermediate results of the tool extraction and analysis. There are two different databases: one to store the results of the data extractor which holds a subset of the data from the different tools used by the stakeholder, and a second database to store the results of the analyses (performed by the business logic) on the tool data.
